More than the catch

Pike, perch, vendace, whitefish and trout occur in the region, depending on the water. Summer offers shore and boat fishing. In winter, ice fishing is possible where ice conditions have been checked and fishing is permitted.
Salmon on the Simojoki
The Simojoki is known for naturally reproducing Atlantic salmon. Fishing for them takes patience, technique and preparation; a catch is not guaranteed. Check the permitted season, local permits, closed periods and catch limits for the stretch you plan to fish. Ask us about a guided outing if you would like local help.
