What does a week in Lapland cost?
The total depends on the season, how you travel and how many paid activities you choose. This article preserves historical examples to show the structure of a budget. They are not current quotations: confirm each item for your dates before booking.
Flights and transport
The original range for return flights was €350–600 per person. Seasonal routes and baggage rules change. Car rental was estimated at €650–850 per week, while an airport transfer was around €280–300 each way.
Consider local transport as well as arrival. A rural cottage stay may involve shopping and trips to activity meeting points. Ask whether tour transfers are included.
Accommodation

Compare the facilities and inclusions as well as the price: kitchen, sauna arrangements, hot tub, linen, cleaning and outdoor equipment. Maximum direct-booking occupancy remains ten guests in summer and eight in winter, normally for at least three nights.

The article allowed €150–250 for a week's groceries for four people, with restaurant examples around €18–20 for a pizza and €35–50 for a meal per person. Use current shop and menu prices for your own plan. Self-catering gives flexibility but does not make every food budget realistic for every group.
Activity costs
Guided snowmobiling, fishing, private visits and catering can add significantly to a holiday total. Check whether a quote is per person, per group or per vehicle. Duration, transfers, clothing and meals also affect comparisons.

Choose what matters
Leave space for inexpensive experiences: walking, birdwatching, time by the lake and cooking together. Ask which equipment is available at the house and bring personal clothing suited to the season. A thoughtful plan usually provides more useful value than a full schedule of outings.
